It’s September, and that means sometime this month, we’ll be getting the new Lady Gaga single, “Perfect Illusion.” And according to Gaga’s Little Monsters, we may get it as early as Friday.
According to the website BreatheHeavy.com, some tech-savvy Gaga fans discovered that if they went to a certain location on her official website, an animated banner would be revealed indicating that “Perfect Illusion” is coming September 9. It’s now been taken down, but screen shots and films of the banner are still available online. Further examination of the source code indicates that snippets of the new song are being lined up for posting, according to fans.
So far, Gaga hasn’t confirmed the release date. The New York Post reports that Gaga shot the video for “Perfect Illusion” in two days in the desert outside of Los Angeles. The shoot was styled by her one of her designers, Brandon Maxwell.
Gaga worked on “Perfect Illusion” with producers Mark Ronson and Bloodpop, a.k.a. Michael Tucker, as well as Kevin Parker from the band Tame Impala.
In other Gaga news, she and Bradley Cooper, her co-star in the upcoming movie A Star Is Born, were spotted together hanging out in Malibu, California over the holiday weekend. People reports that they went grocery shopping together, and drove around in a vintage Ford: Gaga, who got her driver’s license not long ago, was behind the wheel.
